Andrew Joseph Keith captures artistic, non-nude images of himself showing various sections of the male figure. Andrew then draws helpful diagrams showing different ways of observing the forms, structure, anatomy, and gesture of the various parts. Each color shows a different lens through which we can observe the forms. The goal of this book is to help figurative artists start to look for new ways of looking at the figure and representing the figure artistically both in 2D and 3D.
Andrew also includes some of his ideas and philosophies that he has found useful as a figurative artist and sculptor. He sees the human figure as something beautifully complex that is worth studying and representing in art even though it is arguably the most challenging subject to represent.
